CIS CLASSROOM PROJECT

CIS provides services to at-risk students at the middle and high school levels in Nassau County. Our project sites are Callahan Middle School, Fernandina Beach Middle School, Hilliard Middle/Senior High School, West Nassau High School, and Yulee Middle School.

Students in a CIS Classroom project learn:

• Employability and workplace readiness skills

• Life management skills

• Leadership and personal development skills

• The value of giving back to their community

• Goal setting and personal motivation techniques

• Information on healthy lifestyle habits, including the dangers of drug and alcohol use

• Skills to enhance academic achievement

In addition, we sponsor several events during the school year that reach out to parents and other family members.

Students receive a certificate and a CIS t-shirt for participating in the classroom project.
